Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to join a school district in East Saint Louis, Illinois . The social worker will support students' social-emotional development, provide counseling and intervention services, and collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to help students succeed academically and personally.
Responsibilities
Provide individual and small-group counseling and social-emotional support
Assist students with behavioral, social, and emotional challenges
Participate in IEP and 504 meetings and contribute to student support plans
Conduct social-developmental assessments as needed
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
Support MTSS/RTI interventions and student behavioral plans
Maintain accurate documentation and student records
Connect students and families with appropriate community resources
Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment
Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field
Appropriate Illinois licensure/certification for school social work (PEL school social work licensure)
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
