A school district near Tobyhanna, PA is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to provide essential support and advocacy for its school community. This full-time position (37.5 hours/week) will begin as soon as possible and continue through May 28, 2027.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in school-based social work, with a passion for helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your expertise will support students, families, and staff, guiding them through challenges with professionalism and compassion.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid licensure/certification as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience in school settings highly preferred
• Strong understanding of relevant social, emotional, and behavioral interventions
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and support services to students
• Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans
• Act as a liaison between school, home, and community resources
• Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to support student needs
• Maintain accurate, timely records and reports according to school policies
• Offer crisis intervention assistance and consult with staff on student issues
